Five Hundred Acre Wood (III)

Please scroll down, if necessary, for a commentary ...

Ashdown Forest is not all wooded (and "forest" means an open or uncultivated area), but this wood within the Forest is close to Crowborough, where we live. It is also the setting for A A Milne's books of Winnie-the-Pooh, wherein it was labelled "100 aker wood".
